Eliana and Eric

Despite many shared connections, Eric and El didn’t meet until they were set up by mutual friends for a New Orleans fraternity date party in their junior year at Ole Miss. El and Eric quickly formed a strong connection, and somehow always found a convenient reason to spend more time together as the semester came to a close. Before Eric moved to the beach for the summer, they were both certain about their feelings for each other, so they “made it official.” Then began what would become their first stretch of long distance. Sandestin quickly became one of El’s favorite places to visit (and not only for the beach). Despite the early distance, they continued to grow closer together and quickly fell in love. Back together in the fall, Eric’s feelings for El were even more than his love for Ole Miss football, and knowing him – that’s a lot! When distance resumed after graduation, they balanced work and school, and continued to grow in their love for the Lord and one another. With many trips back and forth to see each other, they made the most of their short spurts of time together. On August 1st 2025, Eric asked El to marry him, and she said yes! As the wedding approaches, Eric and El ask for prayers for the continued strengthening of their relationship with God and one another. The future Russes will begin their next exciting chapter of life together in Nashville, TN following their marriage on March 21st 2026 in Jackson, MS!
